What It Means to Live Well: A Modern Wellness Lifestyle for Women
Share
Why I Started Well / Well
I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to live well.
Not perfectly.
Not performatively.
Not for the internet.
Just… well.
⸻
Well / Well started as an idea I couldn’t stop coming back to.
A lifestyle brand that brings together the things I care about most—health, design, style, and the way we move through our everyday lives.
Eventually, it will include many more products—things for your home, your body, your routines, your pets.
But first, it’s a space. A perspective. A way of living.
⸻
I’m building this for women like me.
I’m 42.
I probably present as pretty traditional at first glance—but I’m more open-minded than people expect. I care about how things look and feel. I like things that are simple, modern, aesthetically pleasing and a little bit cool.
I’m an involved stepmom to three teenagers, which means a lot of time at sports fields, in parking lots, and living real, full, sometimes chaotic life.
And like a lot of women in this stage of life, I’m also carrying things that aren’t always visible.
⸻
Over the past few years, I’ve lost both of my parents.
There’s no clean way to process something like that. It changes how you see time. It changes what feels important. It strips things down.
You start to realize how finite everything is—and how much it matters to actually be present in your own life.
You will see small tributes to the incredible people they were throughout my brand.
⸻
At the same time, I help care for my brother, who lives with schizophrenia.
Caretaking is its own kind of responsibility. It requires patience, consistency, and a level of emotional strength that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it.
It’s also something that reshapes your perspective.
You learn what really matters.
You learn what you can control—and what you can’t.
You learn how important it is to take care of yourself, too.
⸻
Somewhere in all of that, I realized I needed to feel better in my own life.
⸻
Over the past year, I’ve been on a health journey that’s changed everything.
I’ve lost over 50 pounds—through a combination of a GLP-1 medication, better eating, and consistently showing up at the gym.
But more than the weight, it’s how I feel.
Clearer.
Stronger.
More present.
More like myself.
⸻
This brand is an extension of that shift.
It’s about:
• taking care of your body
• creating a calm, beautiful environment
• finding a personal sense of style
• being intentional with your time and energy
• making space for the things—and people—you love
Including the everyday rituals with my two dogs and two cats, who are very much part of my version of living well.
⸻
It’s about living well—but in a way that’s realistic.
Not extreme.
Not all-or-nothing.
Not perfect.
⸻
If this resonates with you, you’re probably someone like me.
You care about your health—but you’re not trying to be obsessive.
You like things that feel elevated—but still livable.
You’re balancing a lot—family, work, your own identity.
You’ve experienced loss, or responsibility, or change—and it’s shaped how you see the world.
You want to feel good in your life, not just look like you do.
⸻
That’s who Well / Well is for.
And if you’re here, you’re part of it.
More soon.
